During a focus group with the Safeguarding Governors, pupils shared concerns about the number of items going missing from school changing rooms. This aligned with an increased number of entries into the register of items reported as stolen.
Outcome
– Changing rooms are now locked when they are not in use for lessons and activities.
– Staff supervision has increased on the changing room corridors
– Communication with pupils, parents and guardians to inform them of then above, and remind that pupils should not bring valuables to school and make use of the lockers that are available.
– The changing rooms cannot be accessed during break and lunch time, and so are not available as a social space.
– There has not been a report to enter onto the register of items reported as stolen since 13 March 2024.
